Arepita Café

About us

Venezuelan Cuisine

Arepita Café is owned and operated by chefs Gabriel Perez and Randy Norwood. Together they have combined many years of experience in the catering and restaurant industry. After years of owning and operating a very successful catering company in Atlanta, they decided it was time to introduce a new cuisine (Venezuelan) to the North Atlanta area.

They decided that Johns Creek would be the perfect place to introduce the community to Venezuelan cuisine. In October of 2015, they opened the 1st full-service Venezuelan restaurant to the community.

The name of the restaurant is “Arepita Café”. Its name comes from the small Arepa, which is called an Arepita. At Arepita Café the menu is traditional Venezuelan. Most of their bread products are made of corn. The most popular items are the Arepas and Cachapas. The Arepa is a pocket made from savory corn flour. While the Cachapa is a pancake made with sweet yellow corn. The Arepa is vegan and gluten-free, while the Cachapa is vegan but not gluten-free. Either can be stuffed with almost anything you would like.
